September 20, 2007 let me start off with "Happy Birthday" David Jr. 38, holy crap, boy times flies by fast when your having fun.
Yesterday we left Woodhaven about 8am in the morning and I think 5 min. later we had lost each other. Dave and I were able to make a left out of the park but right after that a row of cars showed up and we didn't see Lee, Vicki and Fleetwood again until 9:30am. Dave and Lee had driven around the night before to decide on what gas station was the easiest to get in and out of for diesel. Lee didn't need fuel so we had 1st said that Dave and I would leave 15 min. before them then meet up. Later in the evening Lee came over and told Dave that he would leave at the same time as us and get more fuel anyway, well that's when they should have discussed which gas station each of them was going to. Dave had one in mind and Lee had another and that's how we got separated. We reached each other on the walkie talkies and Lee was stuck behind a truck at his gas station so we said we would start on ahead and drive slow until they caught up, which we did at 9:30am. It was another beautiful day, some fog when we got going for awhile then cleared up. We got to Plage St-Pierre in Cheticamp in the afternoon which was a hell of a drive here, very small roads which for shoulders to speak of. The site was suppose to have 50 amp, which they didn't plus had rocks and sand, although it is on the beach, very pretty. After setting up we drove to the National Park campground then decided to move there tomorrow because it was grass and paved roads, much better for biking, hiking and walking/jogging. We packed up this morning got to the National Park and the only place we can park at was covered with fruit flies, and I mean tons of them. We turned around and came right back to where we were before, we will just have to put up with the rocks and sand, at least there is grass around. After setting up, Lee went golfing, I walked Valley around then went bike riding, Dave fought with Verizon Wireless on the phone and Vicki walked Fleetwood then went jogging. When Dave was off the phone we ran into town to the post office and mailed some stuff then came back and had lunch. So that's it for now, oh by the way, neither of us have TV, I guess we are just too far north and we can't get the satelites to work, but luckily Dave's dish for the computer works.
