September 11, 2007 we are now in Mahone Bay, Nova Scotia at Rayport Campground. This campground is all dirt and rocks unfortunately, but where we are parked it is right in front of a creek. We are all surrounded by trees which is very pretty, and luckily we do have TV and computers but no phone service. I think maybe tomorrow as we are touring around we will look for another campsite. The place here wants us to stay though, they offered us 7 nights for the price of 5, but they also said they wouldn't charge our credit cards until we left, I think they kind of know. It is beautiful but not a good place to walk dogs around, especially when it rains, which it is doing today. Vicki and I were trying to walk the dogs around and all there is are large puddles and rocks, not good with Valley's paws, and Fleetwood, Vicki's dog which is a Miniature Schnauzer, came back looking like a wet rat. Not a good thing when you live Fulltime in a Motorhome.

Recap time:

Sunday morning we decided to go out to breakfast, neither one of us had done that in the last 2 weeks and we needed a change. We ended up at Maid Marians, there were a lot of cars there so we figured it was a town hit. Well, breakfast was in a great price range, nothing to write home about. Eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, toast, potatoes to pick from that was about it, but it was a great price and the cheapest meal we have had so far. After breakfast we started our driving tour the countryside here is beautiful you can see from the pictures we posted. While driving we stopped at a roadside vegetable stand which was in a covered wagon, very cute and great veg. Then we drove to and walked around the Point Prim Light House, it is the only round brick light house in Canada. Then we stopped at Pinette Harbor and took a picture of the Birds on the pilings and boats. Next stop was at a house off of the beaten road which had a sign that said Pottery. We stopped and the lady had a dog that came running up to us, just a 10 month old puppy which managed to rip my finger nail off. It wasn't his fault I was going to pet him when he jumped up and since I haven't had my nails done in 3 weeks they were a bit long, his jaw bone hit my nail and just lifted the whole thing up. That f---king hurt so much, with blood coming out of my nail then he managed to jump up and his tooth caught my bracelet and bent it, not having a good day with that dog.
After we left we stopped at a farm house that was selling fresh blueberries, on the honor system, plus they had a ghost as a scarecrow. Then on to Cape Bear Light House, and finally stopped at Murray Harbour for lunch, sitting at a bench in the pier area. Very pretty bay and perfect weather. OK, enough of Sunday.
Monday Vicki made blueberry pancakes using Marty's pancake mix and we BBQ'd up a ham steak. After breakfast Vicki and Lee went there way and we went ours. Dave and I had haircuts, walked around Charlottetown, then I had my nails done, of course not the one that is barely holding on, then did some grocery shopping. That night we all went to dinner at Flex Mussels, which serves mussels in like 30 different sauces, very good, then went to the movies and saw "3:10 to Yuma", which is a Russel Crow movie, it was pretty good too.
I believe that's it, I'm all caught up.
