September 18, 2007 It's been a month since the wedding and it now seems like it was ages ago, we have done a lot in the last month.
Yesterday, the weather was beautiful so like I said in the last blog we had planned on biking, and golfing. 1st when we took off we went to a kayaking place to check it out but the place was closed down for the week. We went to a tourist place and the guy there tracked down a guy who does kayaking tours for 3 hours and for only $40.00 a person, so we decided to do that. We drove out to Crescent Beach, which was about a 40 min. drive and got lessons from Joe on how to use the paddles. Now, Dave and I have kayaked once before in Alaska, and we were going out for 3 hours, are we crazy or what. Joe had 3 singles and 1 double kayak, so Dave and I took the double. The day was just perfect and we all had a great time, Vicki's paddle was too short for her and was working her ass off trying to get moving so Lee finally switched paddles and she moved a lot faster then. We stopped at a sandy beach and had some snacks and Joe pointed out things to us and we got to take some pictures. When we got back at 3 Joe gave us a map of where we had been and told us we had kayaked for 7 miles. Believe me we were all feeling it in either or backs or shoulders. I thought for sure when we got up this morning we would be really hurting, but it isn't too bad, maybe tomorrow. Anyway, after that we drove to Lundenburg and stopped and had a beer and some fish chowder, too tired to go bike riding plus it was getting too late. We got back to the coaches at almost 6pm so the dogs were very happy campers to see us. We BBQ'd, cleaned up then had a fire going and roasted marshmallows, it was a great day.
This morning Vicki and I took the dogs for a 3 1/2 mile walk/jog thru the beautiful neighborhood we had gone to the other day, these houses are very very nice, you can spell the money these people have. When we got back we were planning on going to go hit golf balls but Lee's back was kind of hurting and Dave's shoulders were hurting so since we are leaving here tomorrow, we all just stayed home and cleaned the inside and outside of the coaches. Dave and I did manage to make a trip to Costco in the afternoon and Vicki and I got away and went to the doggy ice cream place and got Valley and Fleetwood some doggy ice cream. Tonight we will BBQ again then hit the road early in the morning for our 200 mile drive towards Sydney. We still have lots to see and are running out of time, so move move move, let's get this show on the road.
P.S. Happy 1 month anniversary Kim and Danny Gonzalez
