Monday September 17, 2007 I must do a correction from the last blog, Inara Grace Tomlinson was born on September 15 at 12:58a.m. Not on the 14th and baby and mommy doing well, congrats again.
Yesterday was another nice day a little cooler and some clouds but other wise very nice. About 8am we went for a long walk/jog with the dogs, Vicki and I did anyway. At 10 we drove into Halifax and had breakfast at the Bluenose II, and then we went to the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic. Very nice museum, we stayed there a couple hours, and Vicki and Lee still wanted to stay longer so Dave and I went walking the pier hand in hand, oh how romantic, (I know Danny would love that) but it was nice weather and a great walk seeing all the boats was nice. We all met back up at 2:30 and went to the movies to see the Jodie Foster new movie “The Brave One”. Really good movie, it keeps you very interested, NO nap for Dave, so you know it was a good movie, and of course popcorn helps too.
I mentioned all the other stuff we had done on the last blog and was suppose to get caught up on everything but it’s not going to happen. I have to do the blog daily or else I get too stressed about falling behind. I’ll just mention a couple things and the rest you’ll just have to see the pictures. Peggy’s Cove has a population of 40 and was founded in 1811. It has a beautiful Lighthouse that was built on the rocks and is the only Lighthouse that has an operating Post Office inside. This place was great too see, then we went to a little local shop and sat outside and had a cup of coffee and enjoyed the view and weather.
The Halifax Citadel is a National Historic site of Canada and the one we toured thru was the 4th Citadel that was built and it never saw any action. It is on a perfect spot on the hill that over looks the harbor.
That’s it for the recap, now I have to caption the pictures and get them posted.
Today is nice and sunny again so I think we are going bike riding, hitting golf balls and maybe kayaking, will see.
