October 3, 2006 Albuquerque New Mexico we got here Sunday Oct. 1st in the late afternoon. It had been another long day of driving. We got all set-up then tried the satellite dishes, for the computer and TV and luckily they both worked. We did this backward we should try out the dishes first before we hook up because if we can't get a signal we can't stay. It's another RV Park that is rocks and dirt. On the corner spots are grass but of course those spots are taken. Valley is getting used to doing her business where ever she can now, but she does still look for grass.
Sunday night we went to dinner at "Route 66 Casino" about 9 miles from the RV Park, to tell the truth there is nothing near this RV park, everything is miles away except Camping World, lucky us. While we were at the casino we purchased tickets to see Josh Blue, he is the winner of "Last Comic Standing" along with Ty Barnett and Chris Porter all with the Last Comic Standing if any of you saw the show. The shows on October 13th, that should be fun. Anyway, after dinner we came straight back to the RV, too tired to even gamble, will have to do that another time.
On Monday, Oct. 2, I did laundry and while that was going Valley and I walked around the rv park about 4 times, up and down the rows of rigs. It's a good size park, so that was nice we got a lot of walking in. Dave and I then went to Costco, haven't been since Elkton so we did need a bunch of stuff, it's so nice to see alcohol being sold in a store again instead of State liquor stores. I don't think I mentioned it but in Moab Utah you couldn't even buy wine in the grocery store only beer, weird. After costco we had to come back to the rig so Dave could work on work stuff so Valley and I walked around again then watched some TV. Late afternoon Dave and I went to Camping World and got some stuff then went next door to American RV. It seems our rear air conditioning isn't working again, like in Bakersfield, so Monaco told us to take it to American RV and have them fix it under warranty of course, so we went there and made an appointment for next Tuesday. On the way back we went to a "Super Wallyworld", many miles away, and shopped there, so now we have well stocked the coach, won't need any food for awhile.
We also finalized our trip plans for Thanksgiving, we will be going on a cruise thru the Panama
Canal. It's a 10 day cruise and we figured we better do it now while Dave still has a job because next June he plans of retiring again.
That's it for now, it's early morning here so don't know what my plans are yet besides walking Valley.
Bye for now. P.S. Dave has added our September pictures to our website, check it out.
