Sunday January 14, 2007, still here in Las Vegas and freezing to death. Last Friday we had snow flurries for about 1 minute maybe 2, I was out walking Valley around the park so she ended up with little white flakes on her. Last Thursday we went out with a friend of Dave's, Jim Smith who lives here in Vegas. We sat and visited at our coach first then he took us to Red Rock Casino, a new one here, for a buffet dinner, which is one of the better ones I have ever been at. Real nice looking casino inside and out and right in the Red Rocks which were really pretty.
Yesterday, Saturday, we went to the strip again and went to the monster mall there to use my Nordstrom gift card that I have been carrying for ever. After that we went walking around to different casinos, we walked for about 4 hours and went to the Wynn this time. The outsides of the casinos are pretty but once you are inside a casino is a casino.
Las Vegas is not my favorite place, if you can't tell, it would be a lot better if the weather was warm then we could go do things, but right now it's in the 20's, 30's and 40's and that's just to damn cold for me. Oh God, please give me back my sunshine with the warm weather, I'm turning as white as a ghost, I could almost be as white as my daughter Kim soon and boy would that be bad. ha ha
Forgot to mention, we are near a little strip mall where there is a Smart and Final but the big thing is a little casino called "Danny's Casino", didn't Kim's fiance' owned a casino????

You guys should come back up here! We have had snow and ice since last Wednesday. So bad that Rob could not get up our easement road to the house. We had to turn around and go back to Bellingham and stay with my sister. Even after we had the road plowed, Rob had a hard time in his van. He has been banished to the home until the road are clear! Sounds like all is well. I am doing my research for our trip to Simi this August. I think we want to do to Universal and possible some other things. I really want to go to the Jay Leno show, but Rob is not up for that. Hope it warms up for you!
Poor Rob, but I guess that's what you get for living on a mountain. If you guys plan a trip to Universal, I want to go too.
Aunt Jeri, does this mean you won't come visit me in Colorado once I get out there? Cold weather is fun. I love getting warm by the fire in my flannel pj's and drinking hot chocolate. That sounds like a good night to me.
Marisa, doesn't Colorado have other seasons besides winter that we could visit you guys? In the motor home I can do the pj's and hot chocolate but not the fire unless we set the motor home on fire.
Kelli we will be back in the area in April for a couple weeks. Right now we plan on leaving in Feb. for Gila Bend, AZ., then to TX., LA., MS., GA., TN., NE., OR., then WA., we should be there April 21st and leaving May 7th for Elkton to see Marty and them again. We plan on being back in Bakersfield at the end of May.
We will keep our calendars free the end of April. Hopefully it won't rain too much!
Marisa - You are in! What about Shawn coming to Universal. We want to come to Colorado. Well, at least Alex and I do. After being stuck in the house for 5 days, Rob just wants to get to Bellingham! And we have more snow coming tonight. Guess he will have to stay home tomorrow also!
